Michael Douglas in his 60-second spot for the Federal Bureau of Investigation reminding Wall Streeters that insider trading is bad.

To this day, Douglas is puzzled by why folks in the Financial District and elsewhere love his Wall Street character, the slimy Gordon Gekko.  “I’m a criminal in the movie.  Do they realize that?”

To which we say yes they sure as Hell do, Michael.

Last year, we had vague ideas of holding a screening of Wall Street 2: Electric Boogaloo and having my banker-mulleted classmate introduce the movie in character as Gordon Gecko.
